Walking Out AgainWell here we are again. The cold weather is biting, Christmas is but a distant memory and we have a long and (hopefully) hot summer to look forward to. Many of you will know that last year we walked the Sarsen Trail, raising money for Kidney Research UK as we walked. We have decided to take part again this year and so have started our training in ernest. Aiming HigherThanks to all of you who contributed and encouraged us along the way, we were able to raise just short of £1,000 for Kidney Research UK. This smashed our target of £500 With results as good as that, we have decided to raise our aim this year, setting ourselves a target of £750 in the hope of breaking the £1,000 barrier and more.

Moved to MoveIn preparation for last year's trail, we visited the area of north east Wiltshire (where the trail takes place) many times. Each walk allowed us the time to truly appreciate the magnificent landscapes of the area, especially the Pewsey Vale which nestles between Wansdyke to the north and Salisbury Plain (the MOD land) to the south. This gentle and verdent valley, flanked by the impressive natural features of the Wansdyke ridge and the high plateau of Salisbury Plain moved us both greatly. So much in fact, that we sold up in Northampton and moved down here to a beautiful and charming village in September 2007 .
